Amnesty International partnered with Shazam to turn the spotlight on human rights. The petition drive collected over 150,000 signatures in one week, a 500% increase over last year. Each digital signature released the next note of the song called “The sound of Amnesty”. 

The partnership with Shazam created additional awareness - any time Shazam could not identify a song, a special message describing the plight of human rights victims was displayed. 

Sometimes the most simple and obvious solution is just as powerful as the unique and unusual.
